||This traditional bird centre
may have started life in the centre of a door, but many years ago, had
been made into a window hanging and had subsequently been handed down
through a couple of generations in a family.
Over the years, all but one of the red glass pieces had been broken and
the lead had stretched making it impossible to hang.
The piece was rebuilt using a red mouthblown flash glass to match the
original and copper wire was built into the edging to prevent any
stretching of the lead in the future
